Through world-class innovation research and development processes (Innovation Management), SCGC is able to create innovative HVA products and services, including Green Polymer. These products meet global market demands across various industrial sectors and for consumers' daily use, such as strong and durable plastic resins for future automotive and infrastructure applications, or environmentally friendly plastic resins like SCGC Green Polymer for use in eco-friendly packaging. SCGC is accelerating the expansion of its HVA product ratio to 60%.

In 2019, SCGC established the Ideas to Products Center (i2P Center) in Rayong province. This center aims to create collaboration with customers and partners across diverse businesses, leveraging a global innovation network. Its purpose is to assist customers, brand owners, agencies, organizations, and business partners in finding ideas and trends, conducting research and development, product design, prototyping, etc. This helps in quickly developing products and solutions, allowing goods to enter the market promptly.

Creating innovation is not easy. But how can this process of creating something new happen quickly and without complication? This is the main challenge that the i2P Center addresses to facilitate customers, offering advice, co-thinking, and comprehensive co-development of products. It works with customers from the first step to the end of the process, at the fastest speed. Customer requirements can transform into new solutions 2-3 times faster. The process begins with understanding customer needs, brainstorming, and building on opportunities for business growth, before leading to the creation of tangible innovations. This is achieved through a comprehensive, one-stop prototyping process.
The Collaboration Between SCGC and Leading Brands, Leading to Truly Tangible Innovations for Consumers
The i2P Center team has developed innovations with customers and business partners, driving numerous innovations to commercial success. Currently, there are over 100 innovation development projects underway, and customers launch an average of 25-30 new products per year. Examples include: eco-friendly packaging for "Pao" liquid laundry detergent made from High Quality Odorless PCR Resin; JBP SMARTSHIELD-X architectural paint made from High Quality PCR PP Resin (the first time recycled plastic has been used in Thailand's paint industry); and soft drink bottle caps manufactured by Haad Thip Company using plastic resin from SMX™ technology, which makes the plastic lighter while maintaining exceptional strength and toughness. This reduces the use of virgin plastic and saves energy in transportation.
