SCGC Wins CSR-DIW and CSR-DIW Continuous Awards 2025, Reaffirming ESG Commitment

Bangkok, March 25, 2026 – Five subsidiaries of SCG Chemicals (SCGC) received the 2025 CSR-DIW and CSR-DIW Continuous Awards from the Department of Industrial Works, Ministry of Industry. The awards were presented by Industry Minister Thanakorn Wangboonkongchana at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, recognizing enterprises that sustainably integrate social and environmental responsibility into their operations.

Award Recipients: • CSR-DIW Award: Thai MMA Co., Ltd. • CSR-DIW Continuous Award: Rayong Olefins Co., Ltd., Map Ta Phut Olefins Co., Ltd., Nawaplastic Industries Co., Ltd. (Rayong Plant), and Nawaplastic Industries (Saraburi) Co., Ltd.

SCGC drives sustainable growth and community well-being in strict alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with a focus on uplifting local livelihoods, advancing the circular economy, and taking decisive climate action. The recognized subsidiaries have actively driven concrete community initiatives, including:

    • Employee Household Recyclables Donation: Donating recyclable waste from employees' homes to support the Noen Phayom Community Environment Bank enterprise.
    • "Pha Won" (Recycled Cleaning Rags) Project: Integrating Ban Phlong community into SCGC’s official vendor system to supply recycled cleaning cloths for factory maintenance.
    • Local Product Market Expansion: Increasing sales and distribution channels for traditional snacks (Khao Tom Mud) produced by the Moo 3 Processed Agricultural Products Community Enterprise.
    • Dumpsite-to-Garden Transformation: Revitalizing the environment at Wat Rat Sattha Tham (Phai Tam) School by turning a garbage pile into a garden space.
    • Smart Farm School (Community Organic Farming): Educating students and teachers at Wat Khot Hin Mitraphap No. 42 School on organic agriculture, while establishing commercial sales channels for their homegrown vegetables to generate school income.
    • Leaf Compost & Automatic Water Pump Project: Teaching students at Wat Khot Hin Mitraphap No. 42 School how to create organic compost from fallen leaves and plant waste.

The CSR-DIW standard is adapted from the global ISO 26000 guidelines by the Department of Industrial Works. It evaluates businesses across seven core subjects: Corporate Governance, Human Rights, Labor Practice, Environment, Fair Operating Practice, Consumers Issue, and Community Involvement and Development.
