SCGC Integrates AI into Education for the Digital Era, Launches “Smart School Leaders with AI” Program, together with Public and Private Sectors to Enhance Educational Competency in Rayong on National Teachers’ Day

Rayong – 21 January 2026 : SCG Chemicals, or SCGC, continues its commitment to sustainable development by advancing the development and upskilling of educational personnel through the launch of the “Smart School Leaders with AI” program. The initiative aims to enhance the capabilities of school leaders and educational personnel in efficiently applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education, enabling them to transfer knowledge and develop youth who are well-prepared for the digital era. The program is a collaborative effort between SCGC and the Rayong Primary Educational Service Area Office 1, together with global partners Google, Microsoft, and FPT Siam.

The “Smart School Leaders with AI” program was officially launched in conjunction with National Teachers’ Day 2026. In addition to providing AI capacity-building for educational personnel, the program also presented Best Practice Awards to Watbankhai School, which received the Best Practice Award for its effective implementation of AI in teaching and learning.

Mr. Suthep Teeratsakun, Director of Rayong Primary Educational Service Area Office 1, stated that “Our office is committed to developing educational personnel to be highly skilled and ready to adapt to change. SCGC’s program aligns well with Rayong’s educational policies and plays a key role in empowering Thai teachers to integrate technology into teaching more effectively.”

Mr. Sanya Chindaprasert, Director-Enterprise Digital and AI of SCGC, added that “SCGC has extended its internal knowledge and AI Transformation culture to the education sector, aiming to elevate the quality of education in Rayong to an international level. Equipping educational personnel with a strong understanding of technology will help reduce educational gaps and inequality, enabling Thai youth to build the capabilities needed to adapt, face future challenges, and thrive sustainably in the modern world.”

Mr. Ronnavit Puangjumpee, a recipient of the Best Practice Award from Watbankhai School, said, “This program has significantly enhanced teachers’ knowledge and skills in AI. We can apply AI in practical ways to reduce administrative workload and develop more modern learning materials, which truly benefits students and improves their learning experience.”
