Rayong, 21 April 2026 – SCGC, led by Mr. Kitikun Prasithrathsint, Head of Green Polymers–Asia, and Mr. Jirat Hantrakul, Managing Director of Circular Plas, welcomed Mr. Pornphrom Vikitsreth, Advisor to the Governor of Bangkok and Chief Sustainability Officer of Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), together with executives and officials from the Environment Department of BMA, on a visit at i2P Center (Ideas to Products Center) and Circular Plas’s demonstration plant. During the visit, the delegation experienced SCGC’s innovation and solution management approach which focused on creating high value-added products and service innovations to rapidly meet customer needs. The group also experienced Advanced Recycling technology that transforms hard-to-recycle post-consumer plastics into circular naphtha. This is then used to produce new plastic resins (Certified Circular Polyolefin Resin) with properties equivalent to virgin plastics. The process is certified under the ISCC PLUS standard across the entire supply chain, making it the first of its kind in Thailand.

SCGC has continuously collaborated with the BMA to leverage innovation and recycling technologies for tangible social and environmental benefits. Examples include the “eco-friendly chairs” made from post-consumer plastic waste through mechanical recycling installed at Sanam Luang, and the collection of “used plastic water guns” for processing through advanced recycling to be converted into raw materials for new plastic production— enhancing the value of plastic waste while supporting efficient resource utilization in line with circular economy principles.
