SCGC Teams with Government, School to Develop Youth Role Models in Waste Management, Promote Transition to Low-Carbon Society

10 June 2025 – Rayong: SCG Chemicals, or SCGC, represented by Nipat Lumlertluksanachai, Managing Director of Thai MFC Company Limited, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Map Ta Phut Municipality, represented by Pawinda Chaihongsa, Permanent Secretary of the Municipality acting as Mayor of Map Ta Phut, the Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate Office, represented by Chakart Patanasri, Director of the Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate Office, and Map Ta Phut Pan Pittayakhan School, represented by Wichai Yingprasert, principal of the school. The signing was witnessed by Unchalee Mulalee, Head of ESG at SCGC. This partnership aims to promote and support waste management and waste reduction initiatives at Map Ta Phut Pan Pittayakhan School, positioning the school as a model institution under a comprehensive waste management and reduction campaign based on circular economy principles.

The collaboration is intended to promote and support environmental activities, implement systematic management of various types of waste, reduce greenhouse gas emissions in daily life, facilitate the exchange of experiences and practices, and encourage the participation of all four organizations in building an environmental leadership network. It also aims to instill new behaviors in students concerning waste management and greenhouse gas reduction in their daily lives within the school, serving as a model for effective waste management and daily greenhouse gas emission reduction, paving the way toward a low-carbon school.
