Sasin School of Management, Thailand’s premier business school, has announced the winners of the Bangkok Business Challenge 2025 Powered by SCGC, the longest-running global student startup competition in Asia, held May 24 at Sasin School of Management, Bangkok.

The competition, powered by SCGC, a leading innovator in polymers and integrated solutions for sustainability, drew 308 entries from 82 universities worldwide, under the theme “Growing Impactful Ventures”, focusing on innovation that addresses economic, social, and environmental challenges.

Competition Winners

    • Global Winner & HM The King’s Award: MabLab (Harvard University, USA), for its five-in-one rapid test strip tackling global overdose prevention
    • HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s Sustainability Award: MabLab (Harvard University, USA).
    • First Runner-up, HM The King’s Award: Humimic Biosystems (University of Arkansas, USA), advancing organ-on-chip drug testing technologies
    • Kasikornbank 60-Second Pitch Award: HappEar (National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, Taiwan), developing AI-powered hearing solutions for children with noise sensitivity

Spotlight on MabLab’s Innovation

MabLab’s winning innovation addresses a global public health crisis: the need for rapid, scalable tools to detect deadly drug lacing agents. Their five-in-one test strip delivers resource-efficient, life-saving prevention, helping safeguard public health while supporting environmental goals through reduced material use.
