Rayong – 5 June 2025, World Environment Day: SCG Chemicals, or SCGC, reaffirmed its commitment to environmental stewardship through its Low Waste, Low Carbon approach. SCGC is committed to collaborating with all sectors to promote environmental sustainability and transition toward a low-carbon society. On the occasion of World Environment Day 2025, SCGC has announced its commitment in partnership with the Rayong Provincial Office of Natural Resources and Environment under the concept “Rayong Mission: Ready to Change, We Change, World Change.” The initiative aims to propel Rayong Province toward carbon neutrality and net-zero emissions through collaborative efforts among the public sector, private sector, and the general public. The event was presided over by Deputy Rayong Governor Kanchai Thepworachai, with Unchalee Mulalee, Head of ESG at SCGC, representing the company.

During the event, SCGC presented an exhibition highlighting its ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) initiatives, with an emphasis on the “Low Waste, Low Carbon” strategy. These initiatives are driven through collaboration with all sectors and align with both provincial and national environmental objectives. Key highlights included the “Nets Up” project, which repurposes discarded fishing nets into marine materials, an innovative recycled alternative that supports sustainable oceans.
