Designing for recyclability for a sustainable society is promoting the reuse of packaging recycling, SCGC has pioneered innovations in flexible packaging designed for efficient recyclability. These innovations primarily utilize single-material compositions while preserving excellent functional properties, such as attractive sealing, enabled by an optimal sealing temperature range.

Recycle

Recycle or reuse emphasizes the global waste crisis, highlighting the importance of the circular economy principles, SCGC has integrated this into strategies and creating Post-Consumer Recycled Resin (PCR) transforming waste into high-quality HDPE and PP, reducing reliance on virgin raw materials by 25% to 100% through both Mechanical Recycling and Advanced Recycling process. This aligns with global sustainability commitments and advances eco-friendly packaging.

Renewable

Renewable or the use of circular resources is a response to the rapidly growing demand for environmentally friendly plastics, especially in Asia and Europe. SCGC and Braskem agreed to establish a plant in Rayong, Thailand to offer bio-based polyethylene from renewable ethanol under the name of I’m green™, which will significantly reduce carbon footprint and helping combat climate change. It can be used in various products like packaging and toys, and can be recycled like regular polyethylene.
