Do face mask sprays 'actually' work to protect against germs ?

Disinfectant sprays tout varying degrees of disinfection. Some even claim to be antimicrobial and antibacterial

But doctors warn that doing so is the don't. This is because the ingredients in the spray doesn't necessarily mean they are safe for you to inhale. Some thereof migh include hypochlorous acid on the list, and this could degrade a mask surface.   

Your best bet is never reuse disposable face masks.
