SCGC Showcases Environmentally Friendly Plastic Innovation and Community Products at the 3rd Thai-Latin America and Caribbean Seminar

Bangkok — 24 March 2023 SCGC, led by Mr. Niwat Athiwattananont, SCGC’s Chief Technology Officer, shared BCG Success Stories and showcased SCGC’s Green Innovation, as well as innovative community products according to the BCG model at the 3rd Thai-Latin America and Caribbean Seminar held at the Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel.

SCGC participated in the seminar on the topic of "Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) Economy: Pathways to Enhance Partnerships between Thailand and Latin America and the Caribbean," and discussed the innovative SCGC GREEN POLYMER™, encompassing 4 solutions: REDUCE, RECYCLABLE, RECYCLE, and RENEWABLE, which are in line with Thailand's BCG economic model that promotes sustainable economic growth and development.

In addition, at the event, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Don Pramudwinai and his accompanying delegation, and the diplomatic corps representing the Latin American and Caribbean embassies in Thailand, visited the SCGC GREEN POLYMER™ exhibition booth and the community products booth featuring community enterprises from Rayong province. The booth featured pineapple leaves fabric from the Saenyai Weaving Group, and products derived from Stingless Bees from the Ban Thap Ma Community. These community enterprises promote sustainable livelihoods for the residents of Pluak Daeng and Ban Thap Ma communities by supporting their occupation and income, with support from SCGC.
