SCGC Showcases Innovations That Meet The BCG Economic Model Connecting Thailand To Global Stage

Rayong – 21 July 2022 SCG Chemicals Public Company Limited, or SCGC, showcased innovations for the environment at an exhibition highlighting Thailand's intelligent Innovations to connect Thailand to the global stage in accordance with the BCG Economic model. The Government Public Relations Department organized the event at Kantary Bay Hotel in Rayong to share significant government policies with international networks. The event was attended by ambassadors and international delegates. Poramate Chairat, Sustainable Development Director, SCGC, welcomed the group, and Butra Boonliang, Ph.D., participated in a panel discussion on SCGC's strategy for driving business toward becoming the Chemicals Business for Sustainability.

SCGC chose the best innovations to showcase at the event, including SCGC GREEN POLYMER^TM, an eco-friendly innovation that emphasizes resource usage efficiency based on circular economy principles; SCGC Floating Solar Solutions, an integrated floating solar farm that addresses the increased demand for clean energy; and Zyclonic by SCGC, an innovative wastewater treatment in bathrooms and households that helps disinfect pathogens in water to eliminate unpleasant color and odor, making it reusable while promoting good hygiene. These innovations achieve environmental goals while enhancing people's quality of life.

In addition, SCGC participated in the panel discussion titled "SCG in Action - the Success Stories," which describes the success stories and business operating outcomes based on the BCG economic model (Bio Circular Green Economy). SCGC's Head of Technology Strategy and Portfolio Management, Butra Boonliang, Ph.D., joined as a panelist to discuss SCGC's business strategy to become the Chemicals Business for Sustainability.

The Government Public Relations Department hosted the event to convey significant government policies to international networks under the title "EECi Innovation City: Moving Thailand Forward on the Global Stage with the BCG Economy Model." It took place at an innovation hub at the heart of the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC). The event was attended by ambassadors and delegates from many countries.
