SCGC Recognized as Environmental Model on Thailand Environment Day 2025, Accelerating Innovation and Technology to Support Sustainable Industry and Communities

Rayong – 23 December 2025: SCG Chemicals, or SCGC, comprising Rayong Olefins Company Limited and Map Ta Phut Olefins Company Limited, received plaques of honor recognizing recognizing them as model environmental establishments from the Rayong Provincial Office of Natural Resources and Environment. The recognition reflects SCGC’s tangible implementation of Smart & Green Manufacturing innovations and technologies, supporting industrial development alongside environmental conservation and sustainable coexistence with local communities. The awards were presented by Rayong Governor Traiphop Wongtrairat at the “Preserve Rayong, Preserve the Land’s Heritage” event, held in celebration of Thailand Environment Day 2025 at the Chaloem Phrakiat Hall, HTMS Prasae Memorial Plaza, Rayong Province.

The plaques of honor are awarded to private sector organizations with outstanding achievements and a strong reputation in environmental management, serving as exemplary models for Rayong Province. In this regard, Rayong Olefins Company Limited and Map Ta Phut Olefins Company Limited, under SCG Chemicals, or SCGC, received the 2025 Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Monitoring Awards, achieving Excellent and Outstanding ratings, respectively, for their compliance with EIA monitoring measures. The “Preserve Rayong, Preserve the Land’s Heritage” event was organized under the theme “Rayong Together to Net Zero – In Remembrance of His Majesty’s Great Benevolence… The King is Water; I Shall Be the Forest,” aiming to foster environmental awareness and promote stewardship of natural resources across all sectors.
