SCG Showcases Innovative Achievements and Shares Best Practices at IP Fair 2024 Press Conference

Bangkok – 8 August 2024 Niwat Athiwattananon, Polymers Technology & Product Development Director of Thai Polyethylene Company Limited, representing SCG, participated in the press conference for the Intellectual Property Fair, or IP Fair 2024, themed "The X Power." The event was held at the Office of the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce, with Kittiwat Patchimnan, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Intellectual Property, presiding over the event.

At the event, SCG showcased a range of innovations that have either been submitted for protection or have already been granted protection in areas such as product design patents, petty patents, and trademarks, under the theme "Passion for Inclusive Green Growth." These include:

• • Nets Up: A new alternative material developed through recycling innovation, creating added value through a circular economy model for sustainable oceans by transforming discarded fishing nets into Marine Materials, in collaboration with SCGC and its partner networks;
  • Fest by SCGP: A safe food packaging innovation;
  • Peony Patterned Tiles: Co-designed with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration for sidewalk improvements in the Yaowarat area, along with Mango Sticky Rice Decorative Tiles, inspired by the iconic Thai dessert, to promote Thailand's soft power, developed by SCG Smart Living.

Additionally, SCG shared best practices on the application of intellectual property in business, aiming to inspire other entrepreneurs. This initiative is expected to build confidence among business partners, both domestically and internationally, regarding future investments.
