SCGC showcased decarbonization innovations along with AI and digital transformation solutions at TNChE Asia 2024. The chemical engineering and chemical technology conference was held at Dusit Thani Pattaya, with a welcome remark delivered by Mr. Surachate Chalothorn, President of the Thai Institute of Chemical Engineering and Applied Chemistry. The innovations on display included the following:

  • emisspro® T-Series: Innovative energy-saving refractory coating for industrial furnaces
  • Rondo Heat Battery: A technology that can convert clean energy into heat for continuous utilization throughout the day, thus replacing fossil fuel combustion in the industrial sector
  • Uncountable Platform: An innovation for data management centralization that utilizes AI-powered analytics to develop new solutions and products to meet customer needs
  • Phase Change Material (PCM): A solution that helps reduce energy consumption and costs for large cold storage rooms for frozen food and decrease carbon emissions
  • CERT+: An innovation powered by remote sensing and AI for forest carbon credit measurement and reforestation management

Also showcased at the event was an innovation by REPCO NEX, a company under SCG Chemicals or SCGC, a provider of integrated industrial solutions – a smart sensor for real-time machinery monitoring. As it can immediately send out alerts when abnormalities are detected, this innovation can promptly prevent damage, ensuring production continuity without loss of raw materials and energy.

In addition, the conference featured Sabina products under the Nets Up Project – a circularity-based value creation model for sustainable oceans in which discarded fishing nets are recycled and transformed into marine materials. Made of these new alternative materials, the lingerie products exhibited and made available for sale at the event were from a collection named “From Marine to Fashion.”
