SCGC Pledges to Transform Rayong into Moral Province, Emphasizing the Company's Dedication to Sustainable and Ethical Operations Aligned with ESG Guidelines

Rayong - 14 June 2023 SCG Chemicals, or SCGC, a leading Chemicals Business for Sustainability, has jointly announced its intention and collaboration to drive Rayong into a moral province. The group also attended a seminar to discuss the factors and strategies critical to successfully guiding a province to adopt the moral province model. They presented the morality policies of the central network's stakeholders at the Moral Conference and Moral Market Fair 2023, an event organized by the Center for Morality Promotion (Public Organization). This effort reflects SCGC's commitment to sustainability, underpinned by transparency, fairness to all relevant stakeholders, and alignment with ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles. Poramate Chairat, Sustainability Director of SCGC, and Noppadol Chunruang, Community Engagement Manager of SCGC, participated in signing the declaration of intent. They also received a certificate of honor for supporting the organization of an exhibition that promotes knowledge and morality. The certificate was presented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Suriyadeo Tripathi, Director of the Center for Morality Promotion.

In 2023, the Center for Morality Promotion (Public Organization) will expand its efforts to drive the moral province model in conjunction with provinces interested and ready to integrate various beneficial works to continuously push the province model over the next 3-5 years. This implementation will cover every region and will include an additional eight provinces, namely Rayong, Kamphaeng Phet, Phrae, Nan, Lampang, Kalasin, Nong Khai, and Phang Nga, in line with the national plan for promoting morality in the 2nd phase from 2023-2027.
