Bangkok - 5 October 2022 Thai MMA Co., Ltd, under SCGC has won the Prime Minister’s Industry Award in the Energy Management Category at the Prime Minister’s Industry Awards 2022, underlining SCGC’s leadership of integrated chemicals for sustainability and success in elevating the energy management in the manufacturing process with tangible results by applying digital technologies and systems in order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, thus advancing the goal to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 and mitigating global warming in accordance with sustainable development goals (SDGs) and ESG (environmental, social, and governance) guidelines. Mr. Atsunori Koshirai, Managing Director, and Mr. Siripan Artnonla, Deputy Managing Director of Thai MMA Co., Ltd., received the award from Prime Minister Gen. Prayut Chan-ocha at Santi Maitri Building, Royal Thai Government House.
TMMA has also developed innovative energy-saving products that mitigate global warming under the brand Shinkolite, such as a special acrylic sheet specifically developed as a material for roofs and awnings, which saves at least 10% more energy during production as it is thermoformed and has been certified with an SCG Green Choice label in the Climate Resilience category.
