SCG Chemicals Joins Forces to Combat COVID-19 Crisis, Donating Field Hospital Beds and Necessary Supplies Worth 2.5 million baht to Rayong

Rayong –  23 July 2021 Rayong SCG Chemicals is continuing to support the country in overcoming the COVID-19 crisis by sponsoring and fostering the installation of field hospitals in Rayong to handle an influx of infected cases. It has recently supplied 2,500 paper field hospital beds, 500 of which were donated by SCG Foundation, as well as medical equipment and necessary supplies for infected patients during hospitalization in the field hospitals. The provision is worth 2.5 million baht in total.  The donation aims to help Rayong public health officials respond to the COVID-19 pandemic and build the capacity for prompt support and care for infected patients.

The donation was handed by Mongkol Hengrojanasophon, Vice President of SCG Chemicals, Pichet Tangpanyarat, Managing Director of Rayong Olefins Co., Ltd., and Paisan Lekskulchai, Managing Director of Map Ta Phut Olefins Co., Ltd. Acting Sub-Lieutenant Pirun Hemarak, Deputy Governor of Rayong, Sunthorn Rheanpumikankit, a doctor at Rayong Health Public Health Office and Pisan Nuangjamnong, Head of the Rayong Provincial Office of The Comptroller General’s Department formally received the handout.

Rayong currently has quarantine facilities in place to monitor infected patients and patients under investigation (PUIs) throughout the province. However, in response to a surge in infections, Rayong officials have heightened safety measures by speeding efforts to develop adequate field hospital capacity in the area to curb future COVID-19 infection spikes.
