SCG Chemicals' Automotive and Electrical Appliances Business and i2P Host Webinar and Showcase Innovative Products for Automotive Industry

15 July 2021 – Bangkok The Automotive and Electrical Appliances Business of SCG Performance Chemicals Co., Ltd., in collaboration with Central Research, Application Development, Process Technology, and i2P, organized a webinar entitled "SCG Automotive Webinar 2021" to keep key account customers all around the world up to date on manufacturing trends and innovation in polypropylene (PP) resins for the automotive industry.

At the webinar, Benjaphon Paksuchon, Automotive and Electrical Appliances Business Director, and the team highlighted the progress of the polypropylene manufacturing process and catalyst research to establish essential qualities for developing polymer structure and composition. In addition, the team presented novel polypropylene resin, including SCG^TM PP P1085J and P765J, innovations developed through the collaboration between SCG and GSC, Thailand's leading manufacturer of polypropylene compounds. The products are designed to meet the demands for lightweight and energy-efficient automotive plastic parts contributing to global warming mitigation. The approach adheres to ESG requirements while ensuring passenger safety.

Furthermore, i2P Center and Application Development Center are introduced with expertise in material selection, engineering and product design, and fabrication process technology to demonstrate their capability and readiness to build future innovations with customers.
