SCG Held “SD SYMPOSIUM RAYONG 2020”, Strengthening Collaboration with 180 Partners to Safeguard Environment and Foster Circular Economy

Rayong 9 – November 2020 Chemicals Business, SCG, broadcasted a live-stream SD Symposium 2020 "Circular Economy: Actions for Sustainable Future" from Bangkok's main stage at Rayong.

SCG has teamed up with 180 partners to accelerate a transition to the circular economy as a sustainable solution to tackle environmental emergencies and propose four solutions:

1. Solve drought with water reuse management
2. Minimize PM 2.5 dust pollution with 100% Zero-burning agriculture and improve farmers' access to agricultural machinery to ensure a steady income
3. Make plastic waste management a national agenda
4. Propose the government to support the construction industry's transformation to Green and Clean Construction

Chemicals Business, SCG, in collaboration with Rayong, also hosted a seminar titled "Rayong Unites Toward Zero-Waste Town," intending to tackle waste with waste management at source, reduce marine debris and foster more collaborations with the government, businesses, and communities with the goal to drive a concrete implementation of circular economy in Rayong. The event was chaired by Rayong governor Charnna Iamsang who was welcomed by Mr. Mongkol Hengrojanasophon, Vice President of Chemicals Business, SCG.
