SCG and AVEVA Sign MoU to Develop Digital Solution for Industrial Plant Management

Bangkok - 28 September 2020 SCG has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with AVEVA, a world-leading industrial engineering and software solution provider, to develop a Digital Reliability Platform. The MoU agreement was signed by Mr. Charoenchai Prathuangsuksri, Managing Director of Rayong Engineering & Plant Service Company Limited (REPCO), and Dr. Ravi Gopinath, Chief Cloud Officer and Chief Product Officer of AVEVA Singapore, in a signing ceremony held in a virtual format.

At the event, Mr. Mongkol Hengrojanasophon, Vice President of Chemicals Business, SCG, and management executives of AVEVA, both in the country and aboard, congratulated the signing.

The collaborative development of the Digital Reliability Platform aims to create an end-to-end plant management solution harnessing digital technology to deliver better operational accuracy and speed. The solution is ready for the market to provide Asset Performance Management (APM) services.

The Digital Reliability Platform (DRP) serves as a platform for recording machine operational data and providing an analysis to evaluate machine performance and provide predictive alerts on potential failures and the estimated duration of service life. The solution will enable users to provide timely maintenance service, which effectively helps reduce the loss and damage arising from a machine’s emergency stop.
