Zyclonic™ Introduced as Part of Solution to Thailand's Water Quality Crisis at "Pracharat Ruamjai to Solve Water Quality Issue in Tha Chin Basin"

Suphan Buri - 9 September 2020 Mr. Attawut Kumkrong, Senior Partnership Manager of Chemicals Business, SCG, showcased Zyclonic™ at an exhibition in the seminar meeting "Pracharat Ruamjai to Solve Water Quality Issue in Tha Chin Basin." The innovation is a compact water treatment system that can turn human waste and household wastewater into pathogen-free reusable byproducts. The seminar was organized by the Pollution Control Department at Songphanburi Hotel, Suphan Buri Province.

The seminar's goal is to share knowledge and develop a better understanding of wastewater management at the workplace. The seminar equipped those in attendance with guidance on the wastewater treatment plan that complies with the law, education on pollution sources, and environmental law enforcement on top of suggestions on improving the wastewater treatment system. The poor quality of wastewater discharged into public water sources is a major contributor to increased pollution in rivers and canals. Enter the Zyclonic™, a wastewater treatment system that uses a thermal process to disinfect wastewater and turn human waste into soil conditioner. The wastewater will become pathogen-free reusable byproducts with the help of biological and electro-chemical processes where the treated water can be reused or discharged into water sources safely. This approach can ensure good health and well-being of the users and nearby communities.

Apart from the academic session, the seminar also featured a panel discussion and a group activity to foster public participation for conserving the rivers and canals. The discussion was joined by delegates from the public sector, industrial businesses, agricultural sector, and the civil groups.
