SCG Chemicals Recognized for Excellent Workplace That Implements COVID-19 Measures and 10 Packages of Occupational Health Promotion

ฺBangkok – 28 August 2020  Chemicals Business, SCG, received a plaque of honor from the Department of Health, Ministry of Public Health, for its excellent workplace practices in occupational health in line with 10 Packages and COVID-19 measures. Mr. Chokchai Montreeamornchet, Chairman of the Healthcare Committee and Managing Director of Thai MFC Company Limited, received the plaque of honor on the company’s behalf from Dr. Panpimol Wipulakorn, Director-General of the Department of Health, Ministry of Public Health at Amari Don Muang Airport Bangkok hotel.

Mr. Chokchai said: “Chemicals Business places a high focus on industrial hygiene and occupational health carried out under the sustainable development concept. The company implemented policies and guidelines to protect employees and business partners from work-related illnesses and diseases and continuously promote hygiene practices. The company requires its employees to receive an annual health checkup, analysis, and report conducted by the company’s occupational health specialist and occupational health physician as well as an individual counseling session with the psychologist. The approach is aligned with the collaborative network model and integration with other agencies such as the Ministry of Public Health, Office of Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand, Social Security Office. The effort aims to improve employees’ quality of life and maintain their good physical and mental health.”

The 10 Packages approach is developed to promote occupational health at work which includes a set of health promotion series: Smart and Healthy Worker, Happy Working with Life Balance, Smart and Healthy Family, Smart Mom, Preretirement and Longevity Planning, Office Syndrome Management, Happy and Healthy Foreign Workers, Tobacco and Alcohol-Free Living, Healthy Canteen, and Safety and Good Environmental Workplace and Happy for Life.
