SCG Presents Wastewater Treatment Innovations to Community as Part of Voluntary Effort for Water Quality Improvement

Bangkok – 8 July 2020 SCG led by Mr. Suracha Udomsak, Vice President and CTO-Innovation & Technology, and Mr. Yuttana Jiamtragan, Vice President-Corporate Administration of SCG, and Mr. Nithi Patarachoke, President of Cement-Building Materials Business jointly presented innovative wastewater treatment solutions to the community. The Ministry of Industry organized the event as part of the voluntary effort to improve water quality in Prem Prachakon canal.

The innovations Chemicals Business, SCG, delivered for the public use are as follows:

  • The SCG-DMCR Litter Trap made of HDPE-Bone comes with a 2-way entrance system using natural water current and pressure to help collect trash floating on the water surface. The material is made of polyethylene compounds that offer a wide range of advantages, including UV resistance, strength, durability, long lifespan, and lightweight. The litter trap can intercept up to the maximum capacity of 700 kilograms.
  • The Zyclonic by SCG is a system that turns greywater into pathogen-free reusable water using biological and electro-chemical treatment process. The greywater is treated to create reusable by-products for gardening and regular cleaning. One septic tank can treat up to 600 liters of greywater per day.
