Bangkok - 16 April 2020 Chemicals Business, SCG, led by Mr. Niwat Athiwattananont, CTO – Polyolefins and Vinyl, donated 2,000 liters of 10% sodium hypochlorite solution to the Office of the Permanent Secretary for Defence. The solution can be diluted with water to make 40,000 liters of disinfectant used for sanitizing public spaces to maintain the area free from COVID-19. Gen Nat Intaracharoen, Permanent Secretary for Defence, received the handout.
Sodium hypochlorite or bleach has been approved by the Department of Health as disinfectant for use against COVID-19. Sodium hypochlorite is a chemical substance used in factories of Chemicals Business, SCG. The solution is contained in gallons made from high-quality polyethylene from SMXTM technology that has exceptional strength, durability and excellent chemical corrosion resistance which can ensure safety during transportation and storage of disinfectants.
