SCG Offers PPEs and N95 Masks to Hospitals in Rayong and Chonburi to Shield Doctors and Healthcare Workers from COVID-19

Rayong - 11 April 2020 Chemicals Business, SCG, led by Mr. Charoenchai Prathuangsuksri, Managing Director of Rayong Engineering & Plant Services Company Limited, presented “Personal Protective Equipment” (PPE) to protect and reduce risk of COVID-19 infection among doctors and healthcare workers. The items, consisting of 14,000 pieces of PPEs, N95 masks, and face shield headbands, are provided to 9 hospitals in Rayong and Queen Sirikit Naval Hospital in Chonburi. Mr. Surasak Charoensirichote, Rayong provincial governor, and RAdm Kerdsak Virayodhin, Director of Somdej Phranangchaosirikit Hospital, Naval Medical Department, received the items.

With excellent cooperation from business partners which are Bag and Gloves Company Limited, SK Engineering and Construction Company Limited, Chemicals Business, SCG, can deliver PPEs to the hospitals. The PPE items include 1,120 pieces of isolation gowns, 1,000 pairs of J-shaped shoe covers, 10,000 pieces of aprons, 1,000 pieces of N95 masks, and 200 pieces of face shield headbands.

Before this, Chemicals Business, SCG, joined hands with Bag and Gloves Company Limited to produce PPEs for hospitals across the country. Chemicals Business, SCG, supported 5 tons of HDPE (high-density polyethylene). The HDPE has unique properties of strength, durability, lightweight, and permeability. Importantly, it can be used in a sterilization process.
