SCG, Hands Over 3,000 Liters of Disinfectants to 3 Municipalities to Keep Public Spaces Sanitized and Safe from COVID-19

Rayong - 9 April 2020 Chemicals Business, SCG, led by Mr. Paisan Lekskulchai, Managing Director of Map Ta Phut Olefins Company Limited, along with the management team of Chemicals Business, is keeping communities away from COVID-19 by offering 3,000 liters of disinfectants contained in 600 special-grade gallons to 3 municipalities: Map Ta Phut, Mapkha Pattana, and Ban Chang. The disinfectants will be used to sanitize public spaces. Mr. Tawin Phobuathong, Mayor of Map Ta Phut Municipality, Mr. Suchin Poonhiran, Mayor of Ban Chang Municipality, and Mr. Sukit Chanmanee, Mayor of Mapkha Pattana Municipality, received the handout.

Mr. Paisan said, "Disinfectants are in dire need right now because municipalities have to use them to sanitize public spaces to reduce risk of virus infection in communities. And it is another approach to provide increased hygiene and safety for people in communities. For this reason, Map Ta Phut Olefins Company Limited has offered Sodium Hypochlorite, a substance used in our factory, which is diluted to fit disinfectant tasks. They are contained in special-grade gallon made from high-quality "SMX^TM by SCG" plastic resin that possesses exceptional strength and high chemical corrosion resistance that can ensure safety during transportation and storage of disinfectants."
