SCG Donates Protective Equipment To Healthcare Professionals First Implemented at Rajavithi Hospital

Bangkok - 10 April 2020 SCG Foundation, led by Dr. Suracha Udomsak, Vice President and CTO - Innovation and Technology at Chemicals Business, SCG, presented two innovations equipped with air pressure control system in a bid to limit the spread of COVID-19 to protect healthcare professionals from infection. The innovations are being used for the first time at Rajavithi Hospital.

The series of innovations consist of:

  1. Negative Pressure Isolation Room enables medical professionals to provide immediate medical attention to critical cases without moving the patients, which helps limit the spreading of infection to outside.
  2. Negative / Positive Pressure Isolation Chamber is designed to facilitate swab testing, enabling doctors to carry out tests without direct contact with the patient. The unit is equipped with an air pressure control system which can be switched to either positive or negative pressure.

A series of “Mobile Isolation Unit” innovations from SCG are developed and created with the team’s unyielding will to provide an alternative solution to safety and lower the risk of COVID-19 infection among medical professionals. The innovations offer convenience and boost confidence among doctors and nurses to combat COVID-19 and help them get through the crisis.
