SCG Donates Innovative COVID-19 Protective Gears for Clinical Staff at HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Hospital in Rayong

Rayong – April 7, 2020 Chemicals Business, SCG, led by Mr. Somyod Sombatchaisak, Manufacturing Division Manager of Thai MMA Company Limited, Mr. Panchapol Nakmool, Pipe & Fitting Production Department Manager of Nawaplastic Industries Company Limited, and Mr. Somchai Hongsuvarn, CSR Manager, donated a series of personal protective equipment consisting of 5 sets of Aerosol Box made of Shinkolite acrylic sheet and 5 sets of SCG’s DIY Aerosol Guard to HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Hospital Rayong intended to help medical professionals avoid exposure to the virus. Dr. Supphachai Iamkulworaphong, Deputy Hospital Director, received the donation.

Dr. Supphachai said, “These two personal protective equipment are greatly valuable for medical professionals because they can protect workers while performing aerosol-generating procedures, ensuring medical workers on safety during practice with minimized risk of contracting the virus from patients. The series of equipment are compact in size and can be suitably applied to current medical devices. DIY Aerosol Guard can be used while moving the patient’s beds to limit the spread of the virus and Aerosol Boxes can provide a protective shield while intubating patients.”
