SCG Chemicals, led by Dr. Suracha Udomsak, R&D Director Business Group Head-Technology (left), and N Health, represented by Mr. Narongrid Galaputh, CEO of the Non-Hospital Group, BDMS and Managing Director of N Health (right), recently jointly launched the innovative Sharps Disposal Bin at BDMS Annual Academic Meeting. This disposal container is the first collaborative medical innovation between SCG Chemicals and N Health.
This innovative Sharps Disposal Bin draws on SCG Chemicals’ expertise on design, material selection, and manufacturing, resulting in a container that meets users’ need for convenience and safe use, enabling users to dispose needles and syringes by a single hand without removing the needles out. This innovation also affords greater commercial cost efficiency, since it can reduce supply and waste disposal costs. In addition, this innovative Sharps Disposal Bins is also environmentally-friendly since it is made of a special type of plastic that translates to lower plastic consumption, which also helps reduce the amount of carbon dioxide emission, yet provides the same level of strength.
