SCG Chemicals has strengthened its leadership in innovations for environment as Mab Ta Phut Olefins Company Limited of SCG Chemicals led by Mr. Somchai Wangwattanapanich, Vice President – Operations of SCG Chemicals , has been awarded with level 5 of the Green Industry Award, Green Network, by the Ministry of Industry. The company is considered the first petrochemical factory to receive level 5, the highest level, of the Green Industry award which was presented by Dr. Witoon Simachokedee, the Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Industry. Mab Ta Phut Olefins Company Limited of SCG Chemicals has implemented its innovations for environment in factory management along with building up a sustainable green network for a whole supply chain ranging from suppliers to clients as well as adopting the Eco Symbiosis, an interdependent principle, in the factory's waste management with the collaboration of its business partners. This is to encourage a worthy use of resources which results in an interdependent resource-sharing network. Additionally, the company has continually and sustainably contributed to the community and society in economic, social and environmental development.
