Rayong Curry-Stuffed Pastries from the Local Cuisine of Rayong Province

The "8 Immortal Chinese Pastries" from the Tulip Housewife Group Community Enterprise, Noen Phayom Community, Muang District, Rayong Province, originated with the promotion of housewives looking to generate additional income. The company brought in experts to develop a pastry preservation formula without using preservatives, which subsequently received certification from the Food and Drug Administration and achieved a 3-star OTOP rating. Furthermore, the recipe was innovated by integrating renowned local dishes of Rayong into pastry fillings, creating pastries filled with Rayong-style curries such as pork belly curry with sour Chamuang leaves, chicken curry with cardamom, and pineapple curry with pork, to name a few.

SCGC collaborated with food engineering specialists from King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang to innovate and develop frozen pastries, aiming to extend the shelf life of the products. Since the project's inception in 2016 until December 2021, the initiative has generated a total revenue of 6.98 million baht for the Tulip Housewife Group Community Enterprise in Noen Phayom Community. Notably, in 2021 alone, the enterprise achieved a revenue of 1.2 million baht.
