SCGC Welcomes Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya and Showcases the Nets Up Project at ‘Young Rak Talay’ Exhibition

29 July 2026 – SCGC had the honor of welcoming Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya on the occasion of the opening of the exhibition “Young Rak Talay: SEA THE CHANGE – Reimagining Our Oceans Through Our Hands” at NEX Hall, 5th Floor, Siam Paragon, Pathum Wan District, Bangkok. Unchalee Mulalee, Director - Sustainability, represented SCGC in receiving Her Royal Highness.

On this occasion, SCGC had the honor of presenting a handcrafted sustainable clutch made from recycled Marine Material, developed through a collaboration between Nets Up, Patom, and The Earthology Studio under SACIT’s Sustainable Craft Project. The bag represents the integration of Thai traditional craftsmanship with circular material innovation, reflecting the efficient use of resources and the creation of value from discarded materials to help drive a more sustainable society and environment.

In addition, SCGC showcased products from the Nets Up Project, an innovative alternative material solution developed from discarded fishing nets. Through an upcycling process, these materials are transformed into a wide range of value-added products, demonstrating the practical application of circular economy principles. The project also contributes to marine resource conservation and supports the creation of a sustainable future for Thailand’s oceans.

The exhibition “Young Rak Talay: SEA THE CHANGE – Reimagining Our Oceans Through Our Hands” is organized by the Coral Reef and Marine Life Conservation Foundation under the Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya, in collaboration with partners from the public and private sectors, researchers, and educational institutions. The exhibition aims to raise awareness and inspire collective action for marine conservation through an immersive experience that integrates art, technology, and environmental knowledge.
