NPI under SCGC, Wins Three Industrial Waste Management Awards from Department of Industrial Works, Reinforcing Green Manufacturing Leadership through a Zero Waste to Landfill Approach

Bangkok – 24 July 2026 – Nawaplastic Industries Co., Ltd. (NPI), a subsidiary of SCGC, has won three awards under the "Industrial Waste Management Efficiency Enhancement toward Zero Waste to Landfill" program organized by the Department of Industrial Works (DIW), Ministry of Industry. The achievement reflects NPI's success in advancing Green Manufacturing by systematically integrating the 3Rs principles—Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle—into its manufacturing processes and operational management. Through measurable and continuous improvements, the company is driving sustainable resource efficiency and progressing toward its long-term vision of becoming a sustainable green manufacturing plant.

NPI received all three awards under the program:

• • 3Rs Awards Presented to manufacturing facilities that demonstrate systematic waste management in accordance with the Reduce, Reuse, Recycle (3Rs) principles and comply with applicable regulations.
  • 3Rs⁺ Sustainability Awards Recognizing organizations with outstanding performance in three key areas: economic benefits, waste reduction efficiency, and the implementation of Circular Economy practices. NPI received an Excellent rating and was one of only two companies nationwide to receive this prestigious award.
  • Zero Waste Achievement Awards Presented to manufacturing facilities that achieve comprehensive waste management with zero industrial waste sent to landfill, fully realizing the Zero Waste to Landfill concept.

During the seminar, Mr. Kraisit Chobjit, Production Manager of Nawaplastic Industries Co., Ltd., also participated as a panelist in the discussion entitled "Enhancing Waste Utilization and Advancing Sustainable Waste Management Practices for Industry." He shared NPI's experience in improving production processes, including the development of an automated machine heat control system, enabling 100% of plastic scrap generated during production to be recycled and reused internally. The initiative has reduced plastic waste by 75% while generating more than THB 4.31 million in annual value for the company.
