Bangkok – 16 July 2026: SCGC, led by Ms. Namthip Samphowprasert, Brand Management and CSR Director, attended the press conference launching the new ‘ThaiWater’ application — ‘ThaiWater Reimagined: Elevating the National Water Data Platform’ — together with the launch of the ‘ThaiWater Challenge: Building a Nationwide Youth Network for Water and Climate Literacy,’ organized by the Hydro-Informatics Institute (Public Organization), or HII. Professor Dr. Yodchanan Wongsawat, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, presided over the ceremony.
At the event, HII unveiled the new ThaiWater — a national water data platform that consolidates information from multiple agencies into a single database, with new features including an interactive map and monitoring systems for water levels, rainfall, dams, risk areas, and weather conditions. The platform enables the public, businesses, and government agencies to access accurate data and apply it effectively in their decision-making.

The event also marked the launch of the ThaiWater Challenge, which aims to build a nationwide network of university students equipped with the knowledge and skills to use water and climate data — analyzing and communicating information through creative media before applying that knowledge for the benefit of their communities and society.

SCGC places importance on building collaboration with network partners to develop knowledge and innovation in water resource management, strengthening readiness to address climate change and helping drive sustainable social development.
