SCGC Joins Government-Led Water Pollution Response Exercise to Enhance Emergency Preparedness in Rayong

(9 July 2026) Map Ta Phut Tank Terminal Co., Ltd. (MTT) participated in the Rayong Oil Spill Exercise 2026 (ROSE'26), an annual oil and chemical spill response exercise that brought together government agencies, private-sector organizations, and relevant stakeholders to strengthen preparedness for preventing and responding to oil and chemical spill incidents. The exercise aims to reinforce confidence in industrial safety standards and environmental management in Rayong Province. The opening ceremony was presided over by Vice Admiral Chalermchai Suankaew, Commander of the First Naval Area Command and Director of the Thai Maritime Enforcement Command Center Region 1. Participants were welcomed by Tharna Sanee, Vice President, Manufacturing - Olefins Chain, SCGC, and Witoon Pradubsripetch, Managing Director of Map Ta Phut Tank Terminal Co., Ltd.

Held on 9–10 July 2026, ROSE'26 was organized through the collaboration of MTT, as a member of the Rayong Area Subcommittee for Oil Spill Prevention and Response (IESG-RASC), together with government agencies and industry partners. The program featured knowledge sharing, technology exchange, and practical experience, alongside Incident Command System (ICS) training conducted through both tabletop and field exercises. The objective is to strengthen inter-agency coordination, improve emergency response capabilities, and minimize potential impacts on communities and the environment.
