March 30, 2026 – Bangkok SCG Chemicals Public Company Limited or SCGC, a leading chemical business for sustainability, has been awarded Silver at the Thailand–Japan Decarbonization Award 2026 (TJDA 2026) for its CHILLOX — advanced Phase Change Material (PCM) solution, which delivers significant energy savings in cold storage operations. The award, presented as the Ministry of Energy Trophy, was received by Dr. Siricharn Jirapongphan, Head of Business Incubation, and Panus Sundarapura, Analyst, Innovation Strategy & Portfolio Management, from Professor Dr. Supachai Pathumnakul, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation. The recognition underscores SCGC's drive to develop carbon-reducing innovations for industry while supporting Thailand's broader transition toward a low-carbon economy and its national Carbon Neutrality and Net Zero targets.
