Rayong – 14 September 2026: SCGC continues to advance education and youth development for the digital era through the second year of the “Smart School Leaders with AI” project. The initiative brings together the Rayong Primary Educational Service Area Office 1 and Map Ta Phut City Municipality, in collaboration with leading global technology partners, including Google (Thailand), Microsoft (Thailand), NTT (Thailand), Alibaba Cloud (Thailand), and Tangerine. The project aims to strengthen artificial intelligence (AI) skills among teachers and education personnel, empowering teachers to become “change agents” who can effectively apply AI to their work and classroom instruction, while sharing their knowledge and expanding its benefits to fellow education personnel and students. The project opening was attended by Suthep Teeratsakun, Director of Rayong Primary Educational Service Area Office 1, and Thawin Phothibuathong, Mayor of Map Ta Phut Municipality, who jointly opened the project. Sanya Chindaprasert, Director-Enterprise Digital and AI of SCGC, presented the project’s objectives and also joined the opening ceremony.

The “Smart School Leaders with AI” project was launched in 2025, with 215 participants from Rayong Primary Educational Service Area Office 1 and 63 schools across Rayong province taking part in AI skills development and applying their knowledge in real-world settings. In its second year, the project targets a total of 300 participants, including school directors, teachers, and education personnel across Rayong province. The initiative aims to expand a network of education leaders and lead teachers who can leverage AI to enhance work efficiency and improve teaching and learning in ways that suit the context and needs of each school.

The Smart School Leaders with AI project reflects SCGC’s commitment to creating opportunities and reducing educational inequality by investing in “people”, the essential foundation of social development. The project aims to encourage the practical adoption of AI in schools, foster knowledge sharing from teacher to teacher and from teachers to young people, and build a learning network that can continue to grow and create broader impact in the future.
