SCGC, in collaboration with the Alliance to End Plastic Waste (AEPW), hosted an executive roundtable discussion to support the development of a Circular Economy Roadmap for Plastics in Thailand at SCG Headquarters. Mr. Sakchai Patiparnpreechavud, CEO & President of SCGC, delivered the opening remarks and joined discussions with senior representatives from government agencies, financial institutions, industry associations, academia, and leading companies across Thailand’s plastics value chain.

The discussion focused on elevating both competitiveness and circularity in Thailand’s plastics industry. Participants exchanged views on key priorities for accelerating progress, including closing the gap between collection and recovery, supporting the implementation of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), ensuring the availability of domestic feedstock, expanding end markets for recycled materials, and creating the conditions needed to attract investment across the value chain.

As a key partner of AEPW in Thailand and a leading innovator in sustainable polymer solutions, SCGC remains committed to advancing the circular economy through infrastructure development, recycling innovation, and cross-sector collaboration. Through initiatives such as the development of a Material Recovery Facility (MRF), SCGC aims to help transform plastic waste into valuable resources while creating economic and environmental value and contributing to a more resilient and circular plastics ecosystem in Thailand.
