Bangkok - 12 November 2025: Teamplas Chemical Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of SCG Chemicals (SCGC), led by Mr. Nutthakorn Atichatsrisakul, Chief Operating Officer, presented 500 packs of Hug eco-friendly garbage bags in support of the No Mixed Waste project. The donation was received by Mr. Pornprom Wikitset, Adviser to Governor of Bangkok and Chief Sustainability Officer of Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), at the Bangkok City Hall.

The eco-friendly Hug garbage bags are made from recycled plastic pellets, giving used plastics a second life. This helps reduce the amount of waste sent to landfills and lowers carbon emissions. BMA will offer these bags as a special privilege to members of the No Mixed Wasteprogramme encouraging households to separate waste at the source through the BKK WASTE PAY application, which provides reduced waste collection fees. This initiative promotes proper household waste separation from the very beginning—an essential first step toward a complete waste management cycle in line with Circular Economy principles.

The No Mixed Waste: Separate Waste, Reduce Fees program encourages Bangkok residents to sort their waste at the source to support sustainable waste management. By applying economic incentives, the program motivates residents and businesses to reduce and separate waste into four categories: food waste, recyclables, general waste, and hazardous waste. Citizens are invited to register for the program through the BKK WASTE PAY application to receive reduced waste fees—from the newly adjusted rate of THB 60 per month down to only THB 20 per month for households generating no more than 20 liters of waste per day.
