The Asia Petrochemical Industry Conference

The growth potential and strength of the petrochemical industry in Asia have led to deeper international collaboration through the Asia Petrochemical Industry Conference (APIC). First held in 1979 by key industry associations in South Korea, Japan, and Taiwan, the conference was originally called the East Asia Petrochemical Industry Conference (EAPIC).
By 2025, APIC will be held for the 43rd time and is now recognised as a major international event in the petrochemical industry. It brings together experts, corporate leaders, and policymakers from many countries. The event serves as a hub for sharing knowledge, exchanging best practices from around the globe, and forming concrete business partnerships across the sector.

APIC 2025 is organised under the theme “Ensuring a Transformed World Prosperity,” representing the united strength of the industry to build a progressive world ready for transformation. This theme reflects the foundational role of the petrochemical industry in various sectors—from energy and automotive to healthcare and consumer goods—as the source of essential materials that can be developed into countless products. The conference will highlight collaboration in driving economic growth, enhancing quality of life, and ensuring a prosperous future for generations to come.
APIC 2025 is hosted by the Petrochemical Industry Club, The Federation of Thai Industries (FTIPC), and will take place from May 15–16, 2025, in Bangkok, Thailand, welcoming over 1,500 professionals from the petrochemical industry.

It integrates intelligent maintenance technology, digital transformation, and renewable energy management platforms to empower industrial partners. REPCO NEX has also developed CiBot™, a robot for inspecting petrochemical reactor pipes, capable of accurately assessing their lifespan—on display at this event.
ProsperPolymers: From future factories to next-level polymer innovation. SCGC’s in-house development of catalysts and polymer production technology enables the creation of polymers with specialised properties tailored to various applications. A highlight is SCGC GREEN POLYMER™, a sustainable, eco-friendly material. It features core technologies like mechanical recycling, turning waste plastics into high-quality PCR (Post-Consumer Recycled) resin, and advanced recycling, which converts plastic waste back into circular naphtha—safe for use in food packaging.
Many leading brands have embraced SCGC’s recycled plastic innovations across sectors such as consumer packaging, construction, furniture, home appliances, and automotive.
ProsperPlanet & People: As a leader in the petrochemical industry, SCGC is committed to passing sustainability on to all sectors. Examples include the "Waste-free Community" project, which promotes proper waste management within communities; Wake Up Waste, a platform for trading recyclable waste equipped with a waste compactor truck; and Nets Up, a public-private collaboration in the circular economy that transforms discarded fishing nets into marine materials for use across various industries.
