SCGC Partners with JBP to Pioneer Eco-Friendly Paint Pail Packaging, Elevating Sustainability with High Strength and Durability from High Quality Odorless PCR PP Resins

 SCGC delivers plastics that meet consumer needs and are environmentally friendly under the brand SCGC GREEN POLYMER^TM. One of the solutions is the innovation of High Quality post-consumer recycled resin (PCR) pellets. The domestic consumed plastics are carefully sorted and cleaned, then undergo mechanical recycling to eliminate any lingering odors. Specifically, there has been a development of High Quality odorless PCR HDPE resin for blow molding applications and High Quality odorless PCR PP resin for injection molding applications. These can be used in various packaging applications, including personal & home care and industrial packaging.

The development path of High Quality odorless PCR PP resins aims to move forward towards sustainable packaging solutions referred as "Eco-Friendly Paint Pail Packaging” with high strength and durability.

The specially formulated High Quality odorless PCR PP resin, or PCR PP, was developed to have enhanced properties of stiffness and toughness, resulting in durable and strong packaging containers. The resin, known as "PCDP02JN," has been improved with a specific formulation to meet customer standards and provide efficient performance. The product function can withstand industrial usage, transportation, maintain the quality of colors and the aesthetic appearance of the products. With these outstanding properties, the PCR PP resin can be used for packaging materials up to 100%.

SCGC collaborates with J.B.P. International Paint, a leading manufacturer and distributor of industrial coatings, to introduce the JBP SMART SHIELD-X series. This product line is a step forward in developing " Eco-Friendly Paint Pail Packaging " by utilizing the innovative High Quality odorless PCR PP resin, which offers durability and strength for various applications. This initiative showcases the valuable utilization of recycled plastics, aligning with sustainable development goals (SDGs) and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles. It aims to reduce resource consumption through a circular economy approach and minimize accumulated waste, contributing to a sustainable environmental outlook consistent with the government's BCG (Bio-Circular-Green Economy) policy.
