Since COVID-19 outbreak in early 2020, one thing that is a new “must be” in post pandemic era is protection mask. To protect sanitation of the products, plastic packaging is one of the best options to keep product hygienics, so as the mask and the problem afterwards is how to manage the waste.
In SCGC way of doing business, environmental concern is in priorities, especially in packaging industry that we are focusing on “Recyclable Packaging Solution” and together with partners, we accelerate our innovation and launched “H619F”, HDPE resin for MDOPE film that provide special property of high heat resistance thus can be used to replace current material such as BOPET Film. As a result, the whole packaging can be recycled effectively while maintaining product performance as require.
To keep the world sustainable, VAROGARD, disposable medical face mask for kids (3-7 years), decided to change to recyclable packaging from SCGC’s recyclable packaging solution in August 2022. This transformation would help reduce hard-to-recycle waste and keep the resource loop circulated, resulting in 50% less GHG emissions.
