SCG and FTI Invite Entrepreneurs to Explore Low-Carbon Innovations and Industry 4.0 Technologies to Drive Knowledge Exchange and Low-Carbon Business Transition Through Go Together Program

Rayong – 16 January 2025 – SCG, in collaboration with the Eastern Federation of Thai Industries, has officially opened the SCG Chemicals or SCGC plant, a leader in integrated polymer business operations for sustainability. This initiative welcomed over 50 SME entrepreneurs from Rayong and Chanthaburi provinces under the “Go Together: Growing Together for a Sustainable World” program. The participants had the opportunity to gain hands-on experience, exchange ideas, and receive close guidance from experts to enhance their competitive capabilities and transition towards a low-carbon society, addressing the challenges of the global climate crisis. The event was honored by the presence of Anupong Tharwornwong, Chairman of the Chanthaburi Federation of Thai Industries, and Pichit Teerachaipaisal, Vice Chairman of the Rayong Federation of Thai Industries, who visited the facility. They were accompanied by Sanit Kessuwan, Advisor to the SCG Sustainability Management Office, and Nipat Lumlertluksanachai, Managing Director of Thai MFC Company Limited, a subsidiary of SCG Chemicals or SCGC, along with SCG executives who extended a warm welcome to the delegation at the RIL Industrial Estate in Rayong.

The entrepreneurs were introduced to SCGC’s cutting-edge digital technologies, clean energy innovations, and environmentally friendly production processes, aligned with the Inclusive Green Growth approach that fosters economic growth while reducing environmental impact. Key highlights included:

  • Robotics and Automation technologies supporting Industry 4.0 at the Nawaplastic Industries facility
  • Digital Management Platforms, offering comprehensive industrial solutions, at the Unified Operations Center REPCO NEX.
  • The i2P Center (Idea to Products), the first fully integrated innovation and product prototyping hub in ASEAN.

The "Go Together" program aims to bring entrepreneurs from all regions across the country together to study environmentally friendly management processes, exchange experiences, and establish strong partnerships, with the goal of fostering the sustainable development of Thailand's industries. The initiative is supported by the Federation of Thai Industries and collaborates with the Thai Bankers' Association, which facilitates access to green finance, promoting overall economic sustainability and fostering long-term growth.
