SCGC Collaborates with Three Hospitals to Expedite Health Examinations for Fire Suppression Teams, Initial Results Reassuring

Rayong – May 21, 2024 : SCGC swiftly initiated comprehensive health examinations for the team and all individuals involved in extinguishing the fire at the C9+ hydrocarbon storage tank of Map Ta Phut Tank Terminal Company Limited. These examinations, conducted in collaboration with Chaloem Phra Kiat Hospital, Rayong Hospital, and Bangkok Hospital Rayong, aim to instill confidence in the health of those who participated in the incident response. Initial findings indicate that the results of the physical examinations fall within normal limits.

Mr. Mongkol Hengrojanasophon, Chief Operating Officer of SCGC, expressed gratitude for the collective efforts that contributed to suppressing the fire. "The cooperation from government agencies, the private sector, organizations, and various local entities was crucial in swiftly containing the incident. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the team and all contributors whose support was instrumental in bringing the situation under control within a short timeframe."

A total of 360 individuals, including members of the emergency response team from the EMAG (Emergency Mutual Aid Group), incident suppression teams from partner companies in the Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate, firefighters from Map Ta Phut Municipality, and incident suppression teams from companies in the SCGC business group, underwent health examinations. The collaboration with Chaloem Phra Kiat Hospital, Rayong Hospital, and Bangkok Hospital Rayong ensured a prompt and thorough assessment of their health status, with initial results providing reassurance that participants' health parameters are within normal ranges.
