SCG Wins Good Environmental Governance Award 2020 from Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand

Rayong - 25 September 2020 Eleven companies under Chemicals Business, SCG, earned Good Environmental Governance Award 2020 from Dr. Somjin Piluek, Governor of the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand at  Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate Office in Rayong. The awards were presented to companies in Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate and Map Ta Phut Industrial Port that demonstrate practices that meet environmental standards.

Companies that received Excellent Environmental Governance Awards (white flag-green star and white flag-gold star) are Thai Polyethylene Company Limited (site 1), Thai Polyethylene Company Limited (site 3), Thai Polyethylene Company Limited (site 7), Rayong Olefins Company Limited, Thai MFC Company Limited, Thai MMA Company Limited, Grand Siam Composites Company Limited, Map Ta Phut Olefins Company Limited, Rayong Terminal Company Limited, Map Ta Phut Tank Terminal Company Limited, and Thai Plastic and Chemicals Public Company Limited.

The environmental governance project has established audit key criteria for 13 performances comprising green area management, drainage system, promotion of local and community economy, water management, industrial waste/waste management, air pollution management, VOCs management (only those related plants), occupational safety, management of accident and disaster, management of complaints, quality of life of employees, quality of life of community residents, and plant management.
