SCG Joins Hands with Marine and Coastal Resources Administration Office 1 and Rayong in Tree Planting Event to Reduce Global Warming, Marking the 68th Birthday Anniversary of HM King

Rayong – 22 July 2020 Chemicals Business, SCG, led by Mr. Pichet Tangpanyarat, Managing Director of Rayong Olefins Company Limited, teamed up with the Marine and Coastal Resources Administration Office 1, and Rayong, hosting a tree planting event to celebrate the 68th birthday anniversary of His Majesty the King and counter global warming. The tree planting activity was held at Prasae-Phang Rat National Forest Reserve in Ban Tha Kong, Phang Rat Sub-district, Klaeng District, Rayong, to raise awareness of green space conservation. The event was attended by government officials, SCG executives, and employees, students, volunteers; the group collectively planted 10,550 trees.

Over the past three years, Chemicals Business, SCG, has transformed a 118-rai degraded area in Prasae river mouth into a mangrove forest of Rayong province and put continuous efforts to maintain a healthy condition in collaboration with local officials and communities. The mangrove forest can help absorb 3,830 tons of carbon per year, contributing to a sustainable and healthy environment.
